72 and still going strong

Yesterday (29th March) marked the 72nd Birthday for my Grandfather.
Didnt do nothing so special, just the usual family dinner at home, which included some close 2nd cousins and some family friends too.. oh yea and so did ivin & ernest too hehe...
Grandma as usual cooked a feast of dishes which'ed i cant really remember la.. but the it was good la! hahaha..
But the main treat of the night was the Roasted Pork! Muahahahaha.. That was Da Bomb!

After dinner we as usual headed to Shisha and then clubbing with ernest, ivin & candy shop owner (edmund), checked out Zouk, Velvet, Loft (Zouk), Passion and Poppy which were all quite dead surprisingly except for Poppy which we didnt stay for long due to the fact that it was Hippy-dy-Hop and super hot!

Desperation ?

As usual on thursday at bar club is ultimate dance, where ernest, william & myself hold a residency in which we feature a bunch of bedroom & upcoming guest djs to help boost them into the scene, but theres this one dj who i dunt wanna mention his name la, all i can say is that he always plays before us and plays the exact same thing of what we play on friday's which is still ok. But the week before & today, which he really took the fucking piss out of me. Last week we wasnt suppose to play but then he called me and said that his suppose to play during my slot and there was a confusion with the line up and asked if he could take our set, which was still fine with us. But today he really pissed me off, we got into the club and went into the console and there he was playing his set & acting as if his tiesto or something and not to mention acting as if his better than us. What a cunt! And when we were suppose to take over at 1am william told him 1 last song, he actually said last 2 la! Wtf rite ? taking time away from our set.
Ernest and myself didnt actually care la.. but with that kind of attitude he could actually ask for 2 more songs! So THICK SKIN, which after he finished we only had 40 mins of play time instead of the normal 1hr. I didnt know ppl could be so desperate to play la.. All i can say is all the best to him in the future with an attitude like that la.. Doubt he'll go far

As usual i was bored as hell and decided to log on to Youtube.com, and while searching for videos i cam across DJ Sara (8 years old) & DJ Ryusei (5 years old), who made headlines 7 months ago for their amazing turntablist skills on the Internet, so while browsing through their videos i came across this video which gave me the shock of my life. Them playing at the 2008 Warner Music Group Grammy Party! Fucking hell, gotta respect these kids for that!

Many thanks to Mr. Aidan Chan for saving me today, i thought that i was going to die of boredom today until he called me and asked to go out for shisha. Thanks again Mr.Chan.
The reason why i'm so great full to him for picking me up is cause i have no car, if u read my previous post you'd know that my engine got fucked while on the way up to Genting. So i guess, have to wait for it to be fixed, which should only be ready in 2 weeks if i'm lucky. Feel like getting a new car, Toyota Vios sounds like a winner.. Lets see :)

Full Moon Party Review'ed

Damm never have i ever seen Bar Club so packed in my life like last night! E-2 started off the night as usual, the club was packed by 11.30pm but for some strange reason no one was dancing, so then Edmund told me to tag-team with with him Undercover Brothers Style :P (our old tag team name from Atmosphere) I started with him at 12.10 am, switching tracks every 3 mins, we finally got the crowd in 20 mins later. Fastest ever crowd puller if u ask me. I dont even think Jeff Mills or Masters At Work could have done the job we did in that 20 mins and not to mention mixing i think around 15 tracks in 20 mins!

Rangga finally took over at 12.40am and at 1st wasnt really moving the crowd but after 15 mins later he was in full swing! Dropping killer tracks from Nick Terranova, Austin Leeds, Funkagenda.. to mention a few, he really hyped up the crowd and making my job a whole lot easier! Ernest, Cheong & Myself took over at 2am dropping as many tracks as possible leaving the crowd begging for more and more.. For the 1st time in Bar Club history we actually extended an extra 15 mins after 3am, and i would say the club was half packed at that time. What a night.. Cant wait for the next Full Moon Party! :)

Finally Back Online! My apologies for not blogging these past few days, as i've not had internet connection. But glad to finally be back! Damm these past few days have been fairly interesting you could say.

Well on Tuesday night edmund, ernest & myself decided to head up to genting to try our luck and seeing it was my 1st time up there edmund said i should have virgin luck, true enough i did! :D managed to win some cash, but the fucked up thing was while on the was up there with me Kenari my car died-ed! Gum-Gum it died when we entered parking and was waiting for a car to head out. So we tot maybe the engine was too hot or something. Edmund & Ernest helped push the car to the parking spot. And said that we should head up to the casino and try our luck. Once we finished there we headed back down to the car park and wanted to back to KL. But the next thing we knew my car couldnt start! I was like FUCK! Only solution was to call a tow truck. So made a few calls and no chance of getting a tow truck, so had to leave my car up there and took a cab down. Only the next day my call-man friend when up and took the car. After bringing down the car and placing it in the workshop i got a call from him and he said that my engine was DEAD! And it'll cost me rm1700, chee bai.. there goes money that i've been saving. What a week its been... Sigh

All Good Things Come to those who Wait

As i was saying my my previous post about the Job Position which i was aiming for and i didnt get. I also said that all good things come to those who wait too. Well last night i received a call and was offered to play at Bed Club with DJ Edmund aka Candy Shop Owner :P to spin there every Saturdays starting from April onwards! One of the best news i've heard all week. So hopefully with this new residency on Saturdays we'll be able to push back the Dance scene slowly instead of the same old Bling-Bling money aint a thing (Hip-Hop and R&B) conquering Saturday nights. Sometimes i wonder how ppl can listen to Ppl talking about their aunites getting shot down, them being a father at the age of 14... etc etc... I'm not saying its bad or anything, hell i used to play Hip-Hop too and said to myself how do ppl listen to EDM (Electronic Dance Music) till i slowly started listening to more & more of it. Well i guess u could say i made the right decision ;)

Well hope to see u guys there when we start Bed in April. We'll keep you guys updated :) LONG LIVE EDM! And to the Death of Hip-Hop! Not.. Haha.. I'm not that mean la..

Sundays

Sundays.. To me Sundays are one of the most boring days of the week not to mention Monday & Tuesday too.. Maybe to some ppl their favorite day would be sunday but to me its a bloody super duper boring day.. Nothing to do.. Sigh..

Saturday Night

Just got out of bed at 5pm and now i'm typing this.. Last night's gig was was fantastic! I mean i had a Great Set! Playing alot and i mean alot of new stuff, which i feel the crowd enjoyed :) and shows that we're able to change to a new sound slowly. But unfortunately my great set still cant be compared to the even more Greater Set which Edmund & Ernest had! Thats right, those 2 guys managed to meet some very interesting and attractive women last night! I mean i was playing when they met those 2 girls, all thanks to Ivin & Sulin if u ask me. I mean while i was playing they were checking out the women from the console and pointing to Ivin & Sulin on which girls were hot. I wasnt really paying much attention to it, till the next thing i know was when i look down from the console i could see these guys talking to 2 quite the ATTRACTIVE women, flirting with other & exchanging number! Lucky bastards if u ask me.. Hahaha.... and me ? Well you could say it sucks being a dj sometimes! you cant pick up women while ur playing. Sigh!

Saturday night ? What is there to do tonight i wonder ? Hmm.. No Dance music at most of the clubs where we like to go all bloody Bling Bling.. Money aint a Thing! (Hip-Hop). Someone should seriously consider opening a full fledge EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Club for Saturday Night.

I guess probably i'll just head for shisha as usual..

Job Opportunity

Three months back i got a call from a DJ who happens to be the Appointed Consultant for this new club in Sunway (Sunway Hotel) which i think many of you would probably know which club i'm talking about rite ? well if u dont then i suggest u take a look at Sunway Hotel and see what their building, back to the story. So as i was saying i got a call from him and i was asked to submit my promo mixes so that he can send it to the HQ in London for a possible residency, so after submitting my 5 promo mixes which i completed in 2 weeks (Fairly amazing if u ask me) he told me to wait and he'd let me know in less than a month. But as most of u guys know la.. Malaysia timing what ? Well only after 3 months of waiting i finally got my answer last Sat when i bumped into him at Atrium.

The Verdict : I did not qualify for the resideny, but i did qualify for a sessionist, meaning playing there once a month or so. But i doubt thats likely gonna happen. Well like they say "All Good Things Come To Those Who Wait" and besides it allows me to play my overseas gigs without having to worry on when i have to come back. But i really wonder who's gonna be the resident at that place. *-)

Election Aftermath

As most of you probably know by know that DAP (Democratic Action Party) swept nearly whole of Penang and also a couple of seats in KL & Selangor area. So one of my friends who had nothing better else to do sent me these pictures which is only a joke! which he feels this is what DAP would do after winning. Some of you may laugh and some of you might take it seriously, but like i said before its only a joke!

Friday Review'ed

Hey guys, as i mention in my previous post that Friday was gonna be a Double Header for me at both Maison & Bar Club, well the night started off raining and first thing that came to my mind was SHIT! Not Good! but thankfully it stopped. I had a really great night at Bar Club & Maison, bar club as usual was rocking! but mostly all new faces there none of out usual guest except for our die hard supporters Khailing, Sammantha & thier quite good looking friend who was dressed in blue ;), but they enjoyed it. I think it was due to the hard work E-Squared (Edmund & Ernest) put into, i mean i only played from 12.15 - 1.30 before i headed back to Maison again for my set. But at the end of the day, they played an amazing set, better than mine if u ask me.

The highlight for me would have been Maison. I mean Cheong (Funkomunky aka Ah Siau) and i were really surprised with the turn out. I mean we for sure as hell never expected a crowd like that, seeing that fact that it was raining earlier & it was the eve of Elections too. But what a night it was! I mean i started at 11pm and Cheong took over at 12 - 1.30pm. When i left at 12 to bar club the crowd was as usual like a normaly Friday night but when i got back at 1.30 i was shocked too see that the dance floor was PACKED! Not sounding buyers or anything but Cheong played a fucking amazing set even though he said he played a fucked up set. But to me & the crowd he was rocking it! But like they say all good things must come to an end! Thats right, after serious thoughts to it Cheong and i have decied that its time we stop continuing DCA at Maison. I mean dont get us wrong, we really enjoy playing there and playing to you guys and have a great night, but we feel that its really about time we move DCA to another venue, i mean come on Maison is fucking huge la, and the first thing when ppl think of Maison they think of Hip-Hop. But thankfully we managed to leave our mark there. Thanks to your great support! The new venue for DCA where we've decided to host it is still tbc, but we're in talks with them, i cant reveal the name of the venue yet, but what i can say is that alot of you ppl have been waiting for a long time for it to be open, and when it does its gonna be HUGE! as in FUCKING HUGE! known internationally worldwide recognition ;) so stay tunned for more updates :D

Double Header ?

Tonight is gonna be an insane night for me, lots of running around thats for sure. First off i'll be playing at maison from 10 - 11.30, then head off to bar club where i'll play for an hour then back again to maison and then back again to bar club, i know i'm gonna be exhausted at the end of the night. But hey it pays the bills :) Hope to see you guys at either one of those venues tonight. And dont forget that today is the eve of our 12th General Election hehe.. (Honestly i have no idea why i had to mention that hahaha..) Anyways have a great night where ever u guys are going.

Rocking Night!

Wow! I must say that last night, was a really unexpected night, i mean at first when i walked into the club there were hardly any ppl, and i was like shit ok. Its gonna be one of the nights where i just play and then when the gig is over leave and head for food & shisha. But then when william and myself took over at 1.00 the crowd started picking up slowly. The next thing we knew the dance floor was packed! Ok la.. maybe not so packed la but for a thursday night we were really impressed, dropping Techno & Tech Trance we were impressed at how the club took it. At the end of the gig we were satisfied that for a thursday night we did alright playing Dance Music when normally on Thurdays everyone heads to Zouk or Maison for Hip-Hop, you know BLING BLING! Money Aint A Thing! hahaha. Looking forward to the next Ultimate Dance which is next thursday where Mr. Ernest will be playing too.

Ultimate Dance ?

Ultimate Dance ? I only came to know at 4am that i'll be playing the last set with Wllythkd at Ultimate Dance (Bar Club), still havent decided what i wanna play but most likely i'll play techno & william with his signature tech-trance. Kinda excited for tomorrow (or should i say tonight), as it reminds me of the good old days at Atmosphere when Ultimate Dance used to happen every thursday. Well if u guys are free and wanna know what it was like back in the old days of Atmosphere feel free to drop by, its free entry so no need for guestlist. I think our set will be from 1.30 - 3.00. Hope to see you guys there :)

The Weekend

Hello Beautiful people, the time has come for the only day i look forward to during the week. This Friday (the eve of the 12th General Election, which gives more reason for you guys to come out and party seeing that fact that there wont be any raid [I hope] and the fact that this is the only time where we'll get to party on the eve of the 12th General Election, cause the next one will be the 13th General Election :P and that's in 4 yrs time, who knows where we'll be then ?) there'll be 2 double header events to lookout for. At maison it'll be "Drumz Come Alive" where if u guys love music from the old days of Movement, Atmosphere, Emporium & Backroom, where they played Tribal House, Electro Tribal & Tribal Techno, then this is your cup of tea.

Otherwise if u fancy a more funkier sound then its got to be "Sensuous" at Bar Club. Expect Quality Music from E-Squared (Edmund & Ernest) & Myself.

Welcome To My World

Hello Everyone,

1st of all i'd like to welcome you guys to my Blog. I've always wanted to start this but havent found the right time, so i said to myself after reading a couple of my friend's blog's and since its also the beginning of the month i said to myself why not ?

I havent decided yet on what exactly i wanna post here but what this blog will be about will be most probably be what i do best and the my experience around it which is Music.
